Start 2022 off Strong: New Fitness Challenge
Start 2022 off strong with the following fitness challenge!
10 Lunges to overhead press (left arm, left leg)
10 Lunges to overhead press (right arm, right leg)
20 Banded chest openers
15 Up and down plank
Complete 3-5 rounds of these 5 exercises.
For banded chest openers, start by holding a resistant band, arms fully extended in front at chest level, then with a slow and controlled motion, move your arms laterally (horizontally) until they are fully extended on either side of you. Keep your arms held at chest level while you move them.
For up and down plank, start in high plank position (on hands and toes), then shift onto your elbows and back up onto your hands. Repeat for a total of 15 reps.
If you haven't already invested in resistant bands, kettlebells, and/or dumbbells, now is the time to make the purchase. While they aren't cheap, they won't break the bank account if you purchase a few at a time according to your budget. And they are well worth the investment!
